What were your biggest challenges before the WebRTC course?

My name is Altanai Bisht, and I have about a decade of experience working with Voice over IP, particularly around WebRTC. I am also a published author of a book called “Integrator’s Guide to WebRTC.”

I have patents and numerous talks to my credit. Right now, I am pursuing my master’s at Seattle University. Before the course, I felt I had gaps based on what I read or the conferences I attended in 2016 or 2018.

WebRTC consists of many things and I went deep down into the signaling side of things like Session Border Controller.

In the course of going deep in one direction, you can lose touch with other aspects of WebRTC, like new Codex that have come up or new use cases that have been built around WebRTC.

I wanted to learn more about things like low streaming, the simulcast, SVC add-ons, the Web Audio API, and WASM updates.

What results did you see after signing up for the WebRTC Courses?

The major thing I have done since taking the course was to publish a paper on the carbon footprint of VoIP calls.

The WebRTC Course helped me to get back in touch with all the things that were in development when I read them last and where they are at right now.

For me to do all that on my own would have taken days and numerous reads of RFCs and blogs. The course has got me back on track. I can see the trajectory of the technology and where it may be going.

What makes the WebRTC Courses a good choice?

The WebRTC Course has been very helpful and I am more confident about where I stand with this evolving technology.

I have a lot of confidence in Tsahi, who runs the course. I previously worked with him at a Kranky Geek conference where I presented a robot, so I know he is the best.

I follow his blogs, and I think he is a very resourceful person. I did not even consider other books before taking this course.

Also, it is nice to go back to his blogs when I want to get deeper insight into something he has said. The overall experience was very smooth for me and I had no questions unanswered.

Are the WebRTC Courses worth the investment?

The WebRTC course is absolutely worth it. I actually thought I would take one hour every day to do all the modules, but because it was so easy and I found it so interesting, I completed it in two and a half days.

This was also driven by my passion, but the course was also a great resource to quickly get on top of things, so I kind of binged on it!

Who would you recommend the WebRTC Courses to?

I would 100% recommend the WebRTC course. I told many of my teammates that the course is great. It is great for people at all stages of WebRTC integration, whether they are a beginner, intermediate, or an expert.

Although WebRTC is a developer-friendly technology and there are multiple ready-to-use kits and quick start guides, the problem comes when you are trying to put everything into production.

That juncture of going from an MVP to a production-ready career grade solution is tough, and this course is a very important resource for that.

With the WebRTC Course you will learn the best practices, dos and don’ts, and the pitfalls. This is a good course to help you move from development to production.
